MSD was contracted by a customer in the Western US to custom mount their centrifuge on a 48' customized trailer. MSD provided and customized the trailer to include stainless steel catwalks and stairs, curtain sides and a retractable roof for service. MSD provided the pumps, polymer systems, conveyance system and thickener a well. The unit is capable of processing up to 500 GPM.
 


MSD received a Notice to Proceed in January, 2009 after being the successful bidder as the Belt Press Supplier for an Ohio village. A 1.5 meter BDP belt press was provided and MSD assisted with the installation of the unit.


An environmental services company accepted MSD’s quote for the installation of a 2.0 meter BDP Industries model 3DP press, conveyance system, wash water booster pump
and modification to their electrical panel at an Illinois plant. This job also required the addition of a 7.5” curb and aluminum grating. The project was completed during the
summer of 2009.


MSD and Kershner Environmental Technologies, LLC worked together to provide a Delaware customer with a reconditioned 2.0 meter Ashbrook Winklepress in October, 2008. An add-on catwalk and superstructure unit completed this package.


After an abbreviated rental period, an Indiana company accepted a purchase option for a refurbished Komline Sanderson 1.5 meter belt press and associated equipment. This unit was mounted on a 48’ curtain side trailer.


A large industrial client ordered a refurbished, skid mounted Ashbrook 2.0 meter Type 85 Klampress in March, 2008. This job included a change order for a wash water recycling system with gravity drainage modifications, valves, fittings and pipe. An electrical upgrade was required to accommodate the system.


In May, 2008 a Canadian company purchased a refurbished, skid mounted 1.0 meter BDP Model 3DP belt press, and associated equipment. A year later, MSD provided the
company with a rental press after an emergency/fire event. The rental unit was replaced in 2009 with purchase of a new 1.0 meter BDP model 3DP belt press and associated equipment.


An Ohio village responded to an emergency situation by requesting bids for a reconditioned sludge press in December, 2007. MSD provided the Village with a refurbished 1.0 Meter Ashbrook press, including the installation of the unit.


In July, 2007, a North Carolina City disbursed a bid request for a continuous duty belt filter press capable of dewatering secondary aerobically digested sludge. MSD was the
successful bidder for this project and supplied the City with a completely refurbished Ashbrook Klampress. Options included new pumps, a wash water recycle system and a
stainless steel screw conveyor.


BDP Industries and MSD Environmental Services, Inc. worked together in 2007 and 2008 to provide an Ohio city with the purchase and installation of 2 BDP belt filter presses. Installation included removal of 2 older presses and equipment, concrete work, electrical and plumbing.

 


MSD’s proposal for a new 2006 1.0 meter BDP Model 3DP mobile unit was accepted in January, 2006. This unit was identical to the demo press that MSD had utilized at the town’s wastewater treatment plant. This project also included an interim mobile belt press rental during the transition to the new press.


In late 2005, MSD responded to, and was the successful bidder for a project involving the purchase and installation of a complete BDP Model 3DP 1.0 meter belt filter press dewatering system for an Ohio WW treatment plant. This project included obtaining a Permit to Install from the Ohio EPA and the installation was complete in 2006. MSD delivered the unit early and set up temporary outside to help keep the WWTP in compliance.


In December, 2006 MSD provided a water company with a new 1 meter mobile Model 3DP press.  This purchase was made after a successful pilot demonstration.   We mounted the unit on a custom built 38’ gooseneck trailer with curtain sides.  This enabled the company to mobilize the press within their compact WW facilities.


BDP Industries, Inc. was the successful bidder for the purchase and installation of a 1.5 meter press for an Ohio city in 2006.  MSD was the sales agent and installation contractor for the project.  The scope of work included an on site pilot demonstration by MSD, removal of the existing press, modifications to the sump area and installation of the new press including plumbing and electrical work.  


MSD Environmental Services, Inc. installed a 1 meter Super E press for BDP Industries, Inc. at a Village in NY.  This project included removal of the old one meter press, control panel and plumbing.  MSD performed plumbing, electrical, mechanical and concrete modifications to complete the project.  The project was completed in three days, including start up and training.  This installation took place in October of 2006.


In June, 2006, MSD delivered a 1 meter BDP Model 3DP press to a town in VA.  This unit was trailer mounted by MSD and included a control panel, sludge pump, polymer system, hydraulic conveyor and a wash water booster pump.  Prior to the delivery of the new press MSD provided a rental unit for the town. 

One customer has purchased several units from us which included:

  • A trailer mounted 1 meter BDP Industries, 3DP belt press in July, 2003.  

  • A 1.5 meter, BDP Industries model Super E (3 belt) mobile belt press mounted on a curtain side trailer

  • A 1.5 meter BDP Industries 60” press, trailer mounted with a sludge pump, polymer system 
    and wash water booster pump was delivered in 
    Feb, 2005.

  • A new BDP Industries Super E 1.5  60” meter mobile belt press in February, 2005.    This unit includes a conveyor load out system consisting of a high discharge fold out full width belt conveyor. 

  • A fifth press was ordered  in January, 2006.  This was a factory reconditioned BDP Model Super E LP press.  This unit was trailer mounted and included dual variable speed press drives. 

During the summer of 2006 MSD reconditioned the first press purchased ¯ this included transporting the press to our shop, building and installing a cat walk on one side, installing a door and curtain pocket, and installing the press/GBT on a skid.


At year end, 2004, MSD provided an Indiana City with a refurbished 1 meter BDP Industries E Model belt press with all new ancillary equipment.  Similar to many of our refurbished units, this press included “ground level” operation, an independent variable speed rotary concentrator drum, a refurbished Nema 4 control panel, a hot dip galvanized skid and a new steel belt conveyor with hydraulic drive.


MSD was subcontracted by BDP Industries in April, 2005, to install this 1.5 meter model 3DP belt press.  This project included constructing concrete pads for the truck load conveyor support columns and setting the support leg structure, catwalks, stairs, press, hydraulic power unit, control panel, conveyor, polymer tanks and all associated equipment.  Plumbing and control panel electrical connections were made from locations within the existing building.


MSD refurbished this Ashbrook one meter, type 85 Klampress in the spring of 2005.  The press was mounted on a gooseneck trailer which included fold down ramps and a pop up center dove.   Aluminum grating was mounted on the catwalk and steps.


MSD provided a Kentucky city with the installation of a refurbished, Komline Sanderson, 1.5 meter belt filter press and ancillary equipment in the City’s existing press building.  We also upgraded the City’s electrical voltage from 480 volt, 3 phase to 230 volt.  This project was completed in November, 2003.


December, 2003:  MSD installed this 1 meter Ashbrook Klampress unit and electrical panel and removed the City’s existing press and control panel.  We also installed a 3’ walkway, non-slip aluminum grating, welded stainless steel platform, handrails and stairs.


This 2.5 meter BDP Industries Super E belt press and control panel was recently installed at a dairy farm in Michigan.  MSD completely refurbished this unit.


MSD was awarded this project, which included the installation of ½ meter sludge filter press with skid assembly and belt conveyor in September, 2003.


In the fall of 2002, we were awarded a contract for the installation of a complete dewatering system at this Kentucky plant.   This project included layout drawings, removal of a one meter Ashbrook and associated equipment, demolition of the existing concrete sump, construction of a new sump, membrane coating of new sump,  installation of a new press, including plumbing and  electrical, duplex polymer system, sludge feed pump, hydraulic system, wash water booster pump, and screw conveyor.


MSD provided a utility company with a skid mounted 
.5 meter Ashbrook Winklepress
and ancillary equipment in April, 2002.  This project also included 
a new liquid polymer system and new galvanized skid.


MSD responded to an emergency situation by providing a city with a 48’ x 102” Curtainside trailer to house the city’s belt press during the interim period of the construction of their new building.   


In December 2002, MSD Environmental Services Inc. was the successful bidder for the installation of a refurbished Ashbrook 2 meter Klampress and the removal of the existing 1.5 meter press.    The scope of work on this project included:  removal of the existing press and ancillary equipment, complete on site assembly of the new press (the press needed to be shipped unassembled due to the small entrance to the building), installation of new polymer system, wash water booster pump, control panel, plumbing and electrical, VFD for belt press drive and fabrication of stainless steel observation catwalk.


A 1 meter BDP Industries, Inc. model 3DP was installed in for a Kentucky plant in September, 2001.  The scope of work included building and layout drawings.  We provided and installed the following ancillary equipment:  conveyance, duplex polymer system, wash water booster pump, sludge feed pump (installed in digester room, located approximately 1000’ away), hydraulic system, control panel, plumbing and electrical and aluminum catwalks, including fabrication of catwalk supports.  MSD Envir onmental Services performed start up and training services as well.
